An early twentieth century view of the River Derwent from Matlock's
Bridge. On the right are the back of the shops of Dale Road. The Hall
Leys is on the left bank and, if you look very hard, you can just
about make out through the trees both the bandstand and the footbridge
across the river. Riber Castle is on the hilltop and the tower of
St. Giles' Church below.
